Science Fiction Convention with Fantasy and Gaming programming

VCON is the oldest volunteer-run general-interest science fiction, fantasy and gaming convention in Canada and the Pacific Northwest. The convention has promoted the interests of science fiction and fantasy culture in the Vancouver, BC Metro Region since 1971, offering events, exhibits, presentations, discussions and workshops focused on a variety of Science Fiction and Fantasy fandom interest areas such as literature, art, media, music, costumes, comics, tabletop games, electronic games, etc. VCON's program is wide-ranging and inclusive of all fantastical and speculative fiction genres including hard science, high fantasy, anime, horror, alternate history or paranormal romance. New genres in new mediums have emerged constantly since 1971, and VCON embraces and promotes them all.
