Science Fiction Convention

PulpFest is an annual convention held during the summer that celebrates the popular fiction and art of the early twentieth century that was found in pulp magazines.

PulpFest seeks to honor the pulps by drawing attention to the many ways these throwaway magazines have inspired writers, artists, film directors, software developers, and other creators over the decades.

PulpFest 2020 will focus on "Bradbury, BLACK MASK, and Brundage." We'll be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ray Bradbury; the centennial of BLACK MASK magazine, where the hardboiled detective story took root and developed; and the 120th anniversary of WEIRD TALES cover artist Margaret Brundage.
