Science Fiction Convention with Fantasy programming

The theme of CONvergence 2007 will be "Creature Feature," which may give many of you visions of monster movies new and old, and of things that go bump in the night. While those ghouls and goblins will certainly be part of the proceedings, creature characters are not limited to the realm of Horror.

They are the inhabitants of the world of The Dark Crystal. They help populate Middle Earth. Some drown their sorrows in the canteena at Mos Eisley. Others lurk on alien worlds awaiting visits from the crew of the USS Enterprise or the Jupiter II. Some of them found work on the crew of Moya. One of them IS Moya.

They are the non-human characters that we love or sometimes love to hate in science fiction and fantasy as well as horror. Heck, Sigmund the Sea Monster qualifies.

The creatures are legion, and they're coming to CONvergence 2007.
