Nekocon announces it's first guests of 2010

Nekocon is honored with the US premiere of international lecturer Akemi Solloway

It is with great honor that Nekocon announces the US Premiere of it's first International Guest, Miss. Akemi Solloway.

Miss. Akemi Solloway (née Tanaka) is the daughter of an old samurai family and grew up immersed in the traditional arts and culture of Japan. She is a lecturer and consultant of Japanese culture, where she is active in the worlds of business, diplomacy, education and the arts. In her presenting and consulting, she aims to promote awareness and appreciation of authentic Japanese culture in an accessible and enjoyable manner. She will be holding several panels on various topic of Japanese culture, make sure to check them out!

Nekocon is also thrilled to welcome Cristina Vee for the first time to the convention!

Cristina is a rising star in the world of voice acting, having been discovered at only 16years of age at by Bang Zoom. Since then she has worked on numerous anime and video game projects, appeared on her own YouTube channel, MilkeyCabbage, and been part of several independent films. Some anime's you know her from are: Machi (Blade of the Immortal), Nanoha Takamachi (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), and Kanaria (Rozen Maiden). You can also catch her Co-Hosting at AnimeTV.com!

Nekocon also welcomes Garth Graham to it's Featured Panelist line-up!

Garth, creator of the webcomics Comedity & Finder's Keepers, will be sharing his extensive knowledge with attendees when he's not at his table in the Artist Alley. Make sure to check out what programming he'll be offering!
