Pacific Media Expo 2011 welcomes mecha designer Tsuyoshi Nonaka

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Pacific Media Expo is pleased to welcome Tsuyoshi Nonaka as its Mecha Designer Guest of Honor. Mr Nonaka is known for mechanical designs for numerous anime, namely Mazinkaiser SKL, Shin Mazinger Shōgki! Z-Hen, and DICE, as well as his 20 years of work in the toy industry.

As a Toy Designer and Planner at Boy's Toy Business at Bandai Co. LTD (Japan), Mr Nonaka has been responsible for creating and designing heroes and robots, vehicles, and weapons for kid's TV series and turning them into TOYS. His masterpieces include Toei "Metal Hero Series" and "Super Sentai Series" (a.k.a Power Rangers). In Japan, he is known as the original designer of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (a.k.a Kyoryu Sentai Zyu-Ranger), several Kamen Rider series and as the creator of the Japanese adult toy series-brand "Chogokin-Damashii (a.k.a Soul of Chogokin).

Mr. Nonaka has shifted his creative base from Asia to North America by becoming the head of "PLEX International Design, US division" working on Power Rangers, Ben 10 and Thundercats toy designs for Bandai America Inc. (Cypress CA). He was the designer for this year's Classic Lion-O (Thundercats) figure distributed at San Diego Comic-Con 2011.

Mr. Nonaka will be participating in an autograph session and a focus panel. This is his first appearance at PMX.
